My Services
I offer both edge-to-edge designs and custom quilting for your quilt top. In addition to quilting your quilt tops, I also offer binding services and basting services as outlined below.
Edge-To-Edge Quilting
My base fee is 2½ cents per square inch for edge-to-edge quilting. This price includes your choice of any of the Quilter's Dream battings that I offer, and your choice of thread. I offer HUNDREDS of designs from design services such as UrbanElementz.com, IntelligentQuilting.com, StitchHappy.com and AnneBrightDesigns.com. I do NOT charge extra for certain designs. If there is a design that you find at one of these sites and I do not carry it in my catalog, I will charge you half of the cost of the design. If you already have your batting, I reduce my fee to 2.25 cents per square inch. I do pieces from small wall hangings and table runners up to king sized quilts (maximum 130"). Minimum charge is $25.
Semi-Custom Quilting
Sometimes a client wants to include multiple specific images and/or combinations of computerized and freehand quilting to a piece. In that case the charge per square inch of stitching will increase from the base amount of 3 cents per square inch up to 5 cents per square inch. A consultation will be required for this kind of custom work.
Binding
If you send your prepared binding (2.5" width preferred) I will stitch it to the front of your quilt while it is still on the frame FREE OF CHARGE. If you do not know how to make binding, or prefer not to do it - I can make it for you for a small fee based on the number of linear inches. I can also hand finish the binding on the back of your quilt for an additional fee if needed.
Backing
If you do not know how to prepare your backing fabric, or prefer not to do it yourself - I can do that for you for a fee. If you would like an extra-wide natural or bleached muslin backing, I do keep some of these in stock and they are available for a reasonable fee. Update 4/1/2018: I have started keeping a supply of white Kona Cotton in stock to use as backings for customers who would prefer to purchase it from me rather than pay to ship backing fabric.
Basting
If you're a hand quilter, I can machine baste your quilt for you making it easier for you to hoop and re-hoop your project multiple times without the layers shifting. My base fee for this service is 1½ cents per square inch. Provide your own batting and backing fabric, or consult with me as to the choices that I am keeping in stock for customers.
Hand Finishing of Binding
I will do the hand finishing of your binding for .05 per linear inch.
Quilted Fabric for Purses & Projects!
If you like to make purses, appliance covers, seat cushions or other items with pre-quilted fabric, I can do that for you! You supply the decorative top fabric and muslin or solid backing fabric and I will quilt it with an edge-to-edge design of your choice. I charge 2 cents per square inch.
