About Me

I've owned my longarm quilting machine since 2006, and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of using it. A few years ago I upgraded to a computerized system which I adore.   I love piecing quilt tops and quilting them.   Civil War reproduction fabrics are my favorites to work with, followed by 1930's prints.

My husband and I celebrated our 30th. wedding anniversary in June 2022 -- he's a native southern Californian who came to Ohio for college and never went back.

When I'm not quilting, I am an avid genealogist and give genealogy speeches for libraries and genealogy/history groups in the north central Ohio area.  I manage two genealogy sites and am active with my local chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society as the lineage society chair and newsletter editor.

In February 2019 we purchased a modest older home, built in 1920, in Mansfield, Ohio to turn it into my studio.  So far we have remodeled the bathroom, replaced all of the windows, updated the wiring, power washed the house and the garage, installed new kitchen cabinets, added air conditioning and pulled out a lot of the out-of-control bushes and weeds.  We never seem to be done finding things that need to be changed!
